The Bears are talking about the Texans | Enemy Intel

Bears Head Coach Matt Eberflus on Texans defensive linemen Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson, Jr.: "All the good rushers have God-given ability, and both those guys have that. They have their own way of rushing. They have a great motor and they have great power at the top of the rush. They can level back. They can bull rush. They have their ways of getting around to the quarterback. They can bull around the edge. They work well with the defensive tackle next to them. They do a really good job of four equals one. They operate out of a 4-man rush and they do a really good job of working off each other."

Bears Offensive Coordinator Shane Waldron on Hunter and Anderson: "They do a great job condensing the pocket, but also working edges and getting to the outside."

Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams on the Texans Defense: I expect them to be aggressive. I expect them to be excited to get out there to be in front of their home crowd. Running around. Playing well, playing together. I know that stadium is going to be rocking.

Bears Wide Receiver D.J. Moore on the Texans Defense: "They are a good team. Their defense is actually really good. They fly around, so we get to see how we stack up and see where this offense is headed."

Bears Defensive Coordinator Eric Washington on the Texans Offense: "The quarterback is dynamic. The offensive line has done a nice job of creating lanes for their runners. They've got a receiving corps that can really produce explosive plays. We'll have our hands full in terms of keeping this offense in front of us."

Washington on the Texans Running Game: "Their run inventory creates some issues for you. They can go from a gap-scheme concept with pullers, to an outside zone looking to cut the football back. They've got a nice blend, a nice mix of run concepts that you have to do a really good job of addressing, and fitting, especially when they start to pull offensive linemen."

Eberflus on Texans Quarterback C.J. Stroud: "C.J. did have a heck of a year with the yardage, and managing the game, and the explosive passes. I know he's got some really good guys around him, which is really good to have. Excellent year. Commend him and the coaches and everybody on that staff. He was coached well to stay in the pocket. He naturally keeps his eyes down the field and doesn't look at the rush, which happens to a lot of young quarterbacks."

Washington on Stroud: "(He has) Arm talent. He can extend plays when he wants to. He does not necessarily want to run, per se, although he'll do that. He's hurt some people doing that. His ability to fit the ball in multiple locations and push the ball down the field with accuracy, it really stands out."

Waldron on Stroud: "You did see a confident player, and his ability to spread the ball all around the field and play mobile. Not just as a static passer in the pocket. He's obviously done a great job, him and the coaches there, have done a great job of that steady improvement every single week. He was able to have a phenomenal rookie season last year, and obviously start out strong this year. Just a great player."

Bears Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson on Stroud: "He's an all-around quarterback. If the pocket closes, he can get out with his feet. He can make all the throws. He's a great quarterback. He showed last year coming in with the rookie season and taking his team where they needed to go to make the playoffs."

Washington on Texans Running Back Joe Mixon: "Joe Mixon has done a really nice job of protecting the football. For a defense that has aspirations of taking the ball away, that's going to be a tremendous challenge for us. We're going to need a special effort to get that done."

Washington on Texans Wide Receiver Nico Collins: "Very talented. The size, not only the speed, but the catch radius. The quarterback does not have to be perfect and 100 percent accurate for him to make a play on the football. What gets lost in the whole thing is his ability to block on the perimeter. Very physical blocker. He's the full, total package."

Eberflus on the Texans Special Teams: "These guys are really good in the kicking game, in terms of their cover teams."

Special Teams Coordinator Richard Hightower on Texans Special Teams: "They're a really well-coached unit, and they have been for awhile since Coach (Frank) Ross has been there. Phenomenal unit. Phenomenal personnel. I think he does a phenomenal job."
