Got a question about the Texans?
Life in general?
Drew Dougherty's your guy.
He's been with the Texans since 2009 and is chock full of meaningful, as well as generally useless, information. Fire away by clicking
HERE.

Robert Condon: Dear Drew, Shouldn't Christian Harris have gotten more credit being his first day back? He did a fantastic job coming off IR.
DD: You're right, Robert. Lost in the hubbub of cornerback Derek Stingley, Jr.'s 2-interception day, and the four takeaways by the Texans defense, was the encouraging return of Harris. He was excellent. Harris finished with eight tackles and looked like his same ferocious self in the win.

Head Coach DeMeco Ryans "was impressed" with the third-year linebacker's performance.

"He's sideline-to-sideline, made nice tackles like he hadn't missed a beat," Ryans said. "He'll have a few things to continue to clean up, but I was impressed with the amount of snaps he was able to play and the plays he was able to make with him coming back after being away for such a long time."

***Robert, your question just won you Texas Lottery Scratchoff tickets. Someone from the organization will soon be in contact with you about it.***

James Garcia: Dear Drew, With Stingley on the fast track to being an All-Pro this year, I was wandering how many current Texans have been selected as All-Pro? Who else do you think will make the list this year?
DD: Stingley's having a terrific year, and if he were to snare a 1st-team All-Pro selection, he would join punter Tommy Townsend and wide receiver Stefon Diggs (who is currently on IR) as the only other current Texans to achieve that.

If Stingley is indeed selected, he could potentially have company with some current teammates.

Defensive ends Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson, Jr. are both in the double-digit sack totals, and Hunter's second in the league in that stat with 12. Hunter also leads the NFL with 86 quarterback pressures.

Townsend's had 53.1 percent of his punts downed inside the opponents' 20-yard line this season, and he's in the NFL's top-5 in net punting average.

Ka'imi Fairbairn has kicked an NFL-record 13 field goals of 50 yards or longer this season, including a 59-yarder.

Running back Joe Mixon and wide receiver Nico Collins will both soon crack the 1,000 yard mark in rushing and receiving, respectively. With a flourish in these final three games, they could find themselves in the mix for All-Pro consideration.

Goun Jeong: Do you play defense and offense I will congratulate you?
DD: Do wut?

Oscar Joya: Dear Drew, What are the odds of Texans perusing Odell Beckham, Jr.?
DD: Executive Vice President/General Manager Nick Caserio and his staff have grades on just about every human that is playing/has played/is borderline good enough to play professional football. They know about Beckham and if they think he can help the Texans win, they'll explore that opportunity.

But ultimately, I doubt he'll be a Texan.

Yvette Sampay-Bodwin: Dear Drew, 3rd time asking, but why do we "swarm" and not stampede? We are bulls or at least our mascot is a bull.
DD: Hi Yvette, I answered this question a year ago here. It's an acronym for Special Work (ethic) And Relentless Mindset. It's one of the things Ryans referenced when he was introduced as head coach here in early 2023.

Ray Bell: Dear Drew, I'm retired on a fixed budget. Each week I can't wait to watch the Texans game on tv. Why does the NFL put more and more games on more pay for platforms that a lot of people can't afford?
DD: Hi Ray, if you live in the Houston viewing area, the Christmas Day game against Baltimore will be shown on CBS/KHOU-11 in addition to Netflix.
